Following, is what we learned from talking to the sources
themselves, our medical billers.
MYTH #1
You must attend medical billing school to become a medical
biller.
The Truth?
We found that the overwhelming majority of MPMsoft medical
billers received their original experience 'on the job'

position), or with a medical billing service, and then somewhere
along the line, they eventually decided to try a go on their
own.

"a certificate from a medical billing course doesn't make you a
medical billing specialist, it doesn't even make you a junior
medical biller; somewhere along the line you need practical
experience. There are different 'levels' of medical billing, so
an introductory course doesn't hurt, but it doesn't make you
anything either"
