SPECIALTY SPECIFIC?
QUESTION: Is the program specifically for Physical Therapy, Chiropractic
or Medical?
ANSWER: Yes, MPMsoft has been customized for over a dozen specialties.
We’re Billing & Scheduling software used by practically EVERY medical
specialty. It's for all licensed healthcare givers who bill Medicare or
commercial insurance on the CMS 1500 Form.
Some Background:
Most doctors are more familiar with EMR’s (electronic
medical records); that deal with the clinical aspects of patient treatment
but that can also contain billing functionality. EMR's are specialty specific
and are typically much more expensive than billing programs. They
normally operate on expensive network servers that require large monthly service contracts.
In contrast, billing
software programs are generally less expensive and can be a simple
desktop application, and much like Cinderella; they can be
highly overlooked, under appreciated,
and do
heavy duty work for next to nothing.
We’ve found that many practices have an
expensive EMR already
(and the biller hates the way it bills),
so they’re not
looking for a $10,000 end-to-end practice solution. They just
want an simple and INEXPENSIVE billing solution. Read more about this in our White Paper.
WEB BASED?
QUESTION: Is this program web-based?
ANSWER: It's a desktop application for Windows, similar to 'Quicken', but
made specifically for claims and patient billing. And like any other desktop application, the program can be accessed remotely using remote login software such as
"log-me-in" or PC-anywhere.
SERVER BASED?
QUESTION: What type of computer do I need?
ANSWER: MPM will run fine on a server, but it does not require one. It
runs great on an ordinary AMD or Pentium IV computer or laptop with about
512 MB of memory. The program is made for Win2000, XP, and VISTA.
NET-WORKABLE?
QUESTION: Is your software fully net-workable?
ANSWER: Yes, and it’s very simple to do.
MONTHLY-FEES?
QUESTION: Are there monthly fees?
ANSWER: No. It's a one-time purchase.
ELECTRONIC BILLING
QUESTION: Does your software do electronic billing?
ANSWER: Yes, like nobody's business (simply and easily); both paper &
electronic billing; both the old HCFA 1500 and the new CMS form (toggle
back and forth).
WHICH CLEARINGHOUSE
QUESTION: What clearinghouse do you go through (and how much is it)?
ANSWER: MPM offers a dozen different Clearinghouses – or, if you prefer,
you can go direct to Medicare or Blue Cross (most people use a
Clearinghouse; but it’s your choice).
QUESTION: What is a clearinghouse?
ANSWER: Clearinghouses facilitate the transmittal of electronic claims to thousands of
insurance payers. Most practices will out of necessity eventually need a
clearinghouse for electronic billing as it’s infeasible for a practice to
go direct to more than a one or two payers (most popular Medicare,
BlueCross). MPM Billing Software creates the electronic file, then it's
routed to more than 2,200 separate insurance carriers by a clearinghouse.
Additionally, a clearinghouse allows a biller to manage all their claims
from one location via an online control panel console (much like
how online checking can organize your checking).
LOCAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES:
QUESTION: Do you have sales representatives here in our local area?
ANSWER: No, we are the makers of the software and sell it direct. We do all of
our sales, training and support over the internet and by telephone using remote
login software; and it’s like we’re right there in the room with you.
PRICE SO LOW!
QUESTION: Why are your prices so low?
ANSWER: Our software is reasonably priced from $800 to $8,000 depending on the size of
the practice. We are the actual software developer, so when you eliminate
local retail vendors, you save several thousand in markups and
sales commissions; additionally, we do all our training and support
(via the
internet), again saving you thousands.
HOW LONG IN BUSINESS
QUESTION: How long have you been in business?
ANSWER: +4 years. The software is in it’s fourth version and it was
in development for several years. We have approximately 2200 installations
and 3800 people presently using the software.
QUESTION: Where are you going to be in ten years?
ANSWER: Good question. I don’t know that there’s really an
good answer. Where will General Motors be ten years from now if Toyota keeps it up.
Ford Motors is a hundred year old company that’s now trading for $6 a
share and Toyota could buy them outright if they wanted to. I
suppose that ten years
from now we would like to own medisoft.
EXISTING PATIENTS – DATA CONVERSION
QUESTION: What do we do with our 6000 existing patients in our existing
medical billing software system?
ANSWER: We offer experienced data-migration from over 300 source systems,
but there’s an additional expense here. Most people simply start from
scratch and there’s a several month transition. If you
require it, data conversion ranges from $600 to $2,200.
.
ANNUAL UPGRADES
QUESTION: How much are annual upgrades?
ANSWER: Extremely low (we keep them as low as possible). Annual
software maintenance is a flat fee of $598 per
year for a 5 user system. This cost is all inclusive including all
updates, training, and technical support, providing you with unlimited
access to one-on-one support for the entire year, which we believe is one of the best software values in the industry.
PROGRAM COST
QUESTION: How much does your software cost?
ANSWER: Under $1,000 for a single user, and under $2400 for a complete 5
user electronic medical billing system purchase. Pricing is based on the
number of users and providers in the practice. See packages and pricing.
.
'USERS' & 'PROVIDERS'
QUESTION: How do you define a 'user' and a 'provider'?
ANSWER: A provider is licensed health professional (other than the
referring physician) on the 1500 Form. Or it can be someone who renders
health services that you want to track in the software for reporting
purposes.
As an example, a solo practice (a single physician) could need to be in
the software multiple times due to multiple business entities, eg. A
doctor has a personal tax-ID that he is billed under, but also has a
corporate tax-ID that he’s billed under, and then he has a Group that he’s
billed under separately. In this example, one single doctor would take up
three “provider” slots in the software.

love the software. They really love our support.
COST OF OWNERSHIP
QUESTION: How does MPMsoft compare on 'cost of ownership'” over 2-3 years?

a. Use an ordinary PC’s on a simple network.
b. Results in an improved bottom line due to less money being spent on
equipment, network administration and technical support.
3.)
The third way MPM saves money is in training. MPM is
a bread and butter windows application. It’s native to windows. It’s is
just like QuickBooks, Quicken, or TurboTax. The program is so
simple, that anyone who can use a computer can bill using our
software. So
savings is experienced in:
a.
Fixed cost of training
b. Complete training and
support is included with the purchase of the software.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES:
QUESTION: What would you say your competitive advantages are over
Medisoft, Lytec, or Medical-Manager?
ANSWER: In summary, MPMsoft is:
a.)
Extremely user friendly, intuitive and easy to learn. Easy to train office
staff.
b.)
Native to Windows. MPM looks and feels liked Windows. It
shares same shortcuts. It's fast. You can “tab
through” entire program (or use a mouse) and have multiple windows open at
once. ..Get anywhere in a single click.
c.) Affordable! Other billing software is expensive compared to MPM, which offers a
complete multi-user electronic billing system for under $2,400.
d.) Lowest Cost of Ownership. Many well known billing software programs have
costly mandatory upgrades meaning that if you don't upgrade, they stop working
(and you may be locked out of the software altogether) In contrast, MPM's upgrades are affordable,
fixed cost, and optional.
e.)
Quality Support. We are the makers of the software, and
all our training and support is done in house by seasoned
support staff who are experienced billers. They are highly
skilled and are able to help you in every billing need -
insuring the highest quality support for our clients. This is in
sharp contrast to many well known billing programs that charge a
ton of money for often horrible support (when support can be reached at all); MPMsoft
in contrast offers wonderful training and support, and it's included
in the cost of the program.
