ICD-9 DIAGNOSIS CODES

MANAGING YOUR ICD-9 DIAGNOSIS CODES:

H) SET UP/ Diagnosis
a) From the Top Navigational Menu, select ‘Set Up’, then ‘Diagnosis’.
b) Select ‘Add’ to open a blank ‘Edit New Diagnosis Data’ form.
c) Code: Enter the diagnosis code.
d) Description: Enter the description of the Diagnosis Code. The following may appear in the Code Status field of the Diagnosis Data table: ‘Incomplete’: A diagnosis code is incomplete (in other words, it is a Category Code). Some insurance companies will not accept these types of diagnosis codes. ‘Informal’: This means this diagnosis code was added by the user.
