SECONDARY CLAIMS & DATE OF SERVICE (Box 24)

USER PREFERENCES (Options):

This section addresses two (2) items related to user preferences (or settings) in the software. The preferences area of the software is referred to as 'OPTIONS' and is located under the top navigation menu under: 'System' / 'Options'. Here you can choose between:

1). Whether or not you desire the phrase "Secondary Claim" to be printed on the secondary claim form;
2). (Do, or do not) allow a future date of service

SECONDARY CLAIMS SETTINGS:
2) OPTIONS/ Options Tab / 1500 form
Check this box if you do not want the phrase ***Secondary Claims*** printed on the top of secondary claims.

FUTURE DATE OF SERVICE:
3) OPTIONS/ Data Tab / Dates Validation
a) Select the box ‘Do Not Allow a Future Date of Service’ to not allow claims with service dates greater than the claim entry date to be entered into the system.
b) Select the box ‘Do Not Allow a Future Date of Service Older than _X_ Days’ to not allow the entry of claims whose date of service is greater than the number of days you allow (i.e.: greater than 10 days, 5 days, etc.)
